Taxonomy
Bipulvina was named by Yochelson (1958) [Sepkoski's age data: O Trem Sepkoski's reference number: 1]. It is not extant. Its type is Bipulvina croftsae.

It was assigned to Tryblidiinae by Yochelson (1958) and Knight and Yochelson (1960); to Bipulvinidae by Starobogatov (1970); to Tryblidiidae by Runnegar and Jell (1976); and to Tryblidiida by Sepkoski (2002).

E. L. Yochelson 1958Low, spoon-shaped monoplacophorans having the interior of the dorsum flattened for more than half of its length and set off from the anterior and posterior slopes; apex strongly anterior, just projecting over apertural margin ; five pairs of subtriangular lateral muscle scars located relatively high on lateral slopes, with some additional markings on anterior slope; ornament unknown; interior of shell with two furrows parallel to lines of muscle scars.
