Cyrtolites euryomphalus was named by Lindström (1884). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Phragmolites euryomphalus by Peel (1991); it was recombined as Temnodiscus euryomphalus by Koken (1896), Rohr (1980) and Wagner (2023).
