Taxonomy
Eunema piersalense was named by Koken (1897). It is not extant. Its type locality is Piirsalu, Adila Fm., which is in a Pirgu carbonate limestone in the Adila Formation of Estonia.

It was recombined as Globonema piersalense by Wagner (2023).
