Serpulospira eboracensis
Taxonomy
Euomphalus eboracensis was named by Hall (1859). Its type specimen is AMNH 4890/1, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hall's York Locality, which is in a Givetian carbonate limestone in the Ludlowville Formation of New York.
It was recombined as Phanerotinus eboracensis by Hall (1879); it was recombined as Straparollus (Serpulospira) eboracensis by Linsley and Yochelson (1973) and Blodgett and Johnson (1992); it was recombined as Serpulospira eboracensis by Wagner (2023).
