Taxonomy
Euomphalus triquestra was named by Lindström (1884). It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Liomphalus triquestra by Chapman (1916); it was recombined as Lytospira triquestrus by Rohr and Smith (1978) and Rohr and Measures (2001); it was recombined as Pachystrophia triquestra by Wagner (1999) and Wagner (2023).
