Taxonomy
Globispira nitida was named by Koken and Perner (1925) [Globispira (?) nitida Koken in Koken & Perner 1925]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Porkuni, Siuge Member, which is in a Porkuni perireef or subreef lime mudstone/chert in the Ă„rina Formation of Estonia.
It was recombined as Cataschisma nitida by Rohr et al. (2004).
