Taxonomy
Goniatites siluricus was named by d'Eichwald (1840). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Bellerophon silurica by d'Eichwald (1859); it was recombined as Bucaniella silurica by Koken and Perner (1925); it was recombined as Tetranota silurica by Teichert (1932), Ebbestad (1999) and Wagner (2023).
