Helicites delphinuloides was named by von Schlotheim (1820). It is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Euryzone.
It was recombined as Schizostomica delphinuloides by Goldfuss (1844); it was recombined as Pleurotomaria delphinulaeformis by Sandberger and Sandberger (1853); it was recombined as Pleurotomaria delphinuloides by Roemer (1876), Koken (1889), Whidborne (1892) and Holzapfel (1895); it was recombined as Schizostomica delphinularis by Quenstedt (1884); it was recombined as Bembexia delphinuloides by Jux (1960); it was recombined as Euryzone delphinuloides by Koken (1896), Kirchner (1915), Linsley (1968), Frýda (1998), Heidelberger (2001), Heidelberger and Amler (2002), Frýda and Blodgett (2004), Heidelberger and Koch (2005) and Wagner (2023).
