Trochonema trochonemoides

Taxonomy
Lophospira trochonemoides was named by Ulrich and Scofield (1897) [Lophospira (?) trochonemoides Ulrich in Ulrich & Scofield 1897]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Murfreesboro, which is in an Ashbyan shallow subtidal wackestone/packstone in the Murfreesboro Limestone Formation of Tennessee.

It was recombined as Trochonemella trochonemoides by Okulitch (1935) and Wagner (1995); it was recombined as Trochonemella trochonoides by Rohr (1980); it was recombined as Trochonema trochonemoides by Wagner (1999) and Wagner (2023).
