Taxonomy
Loxonema laxa was named by Hall (1879) [= Loxonema terebra Hall 1876 pl. 18 f. 12]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nichols, which is in a Frasnian marine horizon in the Chemung Formation of New York.
It was recombined as Palaeozygopleura laxa by Linsley (1994) and Wagner (2023).
