Taxonomy
Loxonema noe was named by Clarke (1885). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Briggs Gully, loc. 43, which is in a Frasnian marine shale/limestone in the Cashaqua Formation of New York.

It was recombined as Palaeozygopleura noe by Wagner (2023).
