Taxonomy
Loxonema reticulata was named by Phillips (1841). It is not a trace fossil.

It was corrected as Loxonema reticulatum by Whidborne (1891), Beyer (1896) and Kirchner (1915); it was recombined as Zygopleura reticulatum by Koken (1896); it was recombined as Clathronema reticulata by Blodgett and Johnson (1992), Blodgett (1992), Heidelberger (2001) and Wagner (2023).
