Spanionema scalaroides
Taxonomy
Loxonema scalaroides was named by Whidborne (1889). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Wolborough Quarry, on the east side of the A381 due east of Wolborough church, which is in a Givetian carbonate limestone in the Torquay Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Spanionema scalaroides by Whidborne (1891), Kaufhold (1994), Frýda (1998), Heidelberger (2001) and Krawczyński (2006).
