Maclurea logani was named by Salter (1852). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Maclurites logani by Bassler (1915), Wilson (1951), Liberty (1969) and Rohr (1980); it was recombined as Maclurina logani by Wagner (1999) and Wagner (2023).
