It was recombined as Tryblidium (Metoptoma) barabuensis by Berkey (1898); it was recombined as Ellsworthoconus barabouensis by Webers et al. (1992); it was recombined as Proplina barabuensis by Yochelson and Webers (2006); it was recombined as Ellsworthoconus barabuensis by Wagner (2023).
