Turritoma acrea

Taxonomy
Murchisonia acrea was named by Billings (1865). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Richardson Collection, Port aux Choix, which is in a Cassinian carbonate limestone in the Catoche Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Turritoma.

It was recombined as Turritoma acrea by Ulrich and Scofield (1897), Knight et al. (1960) and Wagner (2023).
