Murchisonia arisaigensis was named by Hall (1860). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Goniostropha arisaigensis by McLearn (1924); it was recombined as Murchisonia (Hormotoma) arisaigensis by Peel (1977); it was recombined as Hormotoma arisaigensis by Wagner (2023).
