Taxonomy
Murchisonia binodosa was named by d’Archiac and de Verneuil (1842). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Wuxuanella binodosa by Cook and Pan (2004); it was recombined as Ulungaratoconcha binodosa by Blodgett and Cook (2002) and Wagner (2023).
