R. L. Batten 1995 | High-spired, turreted shells with wide selenizone located immediately below sharply formed periphery. Sutures deep, narrowly defined, sharply depressed. Upper whorl surface evenly concave and ornamented only by growth lines. Periphery marked by shoulder at midpoint of whorl profile and is most conspicuous feature of shell. Selenizone concave with periphery serving as upper margin. Lower margin a spiral cord much weaker than upper margin. Alveozone concave and sloping downward. Lower margin marked by a spiral cord about equally well-developed as lower selenizone margin. Whorls embrace on lower alveozone margin. No collabral ornament. Base is absent. |
