Coelocaulus longispira

Taxonomy
Murchisonia longispira was named by Hall (1852). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Eurypterid-associated biota of the dolomite of the Lockport Fmn. at Elora, Ont., which is in a Ludlow open shallow subtidal dolomite in the Guelph Formation of Canada.

It was recombined as Coelocaulus longispira by Ulrich and Scofield (1897).
