Euomphalus (Omphalotrochus) clarkei was named by de Koninck (1876) [Euomphalus (Omphalotrochus) clarkei de Koninck 1876]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Micromphalus clarkei by Tassell (1978); it was recombined as Pseudomphalotrochus clarkei by Wagner (2023).
