Taxonomy

Igorella was named by Rozanov et al. (1969) [Missarzhevsky in Rozanov et al. 1969; Sepkoski's age data: V N-Da-u Cm Atda-u Sepkoski's reference number: 1006,1030]. Its type is Igorella ungulata.

It was assigned to Cyrtonellida by Bengtson (1992); to Mollusca by Sepkoski (2002); to Helcionellidae by Runnegar and Jell (1976), Missarzhevsky (1989), Wang (1994), Feng et al. (2000) and Parkhaev (2002); and to Helcionellinae by Parkhaev and Demidenko (2010).

Bemellina was named by Vassiljeva (1998).

It was synonymized subjectively with Igorella by Parkhaev and Demidenko (2010).
Compressoconus was named by Vassiljeva (1998).

It was synonymized subjectively with Igorella by Parkhaev and Demidenko (2010).
Chabaktiella was named by Missarzhevsky and Mambetov (1981) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Tomm-l Cm Tomm-u Sepkoski's reference number: 885,1006 Missarzhevsky in Missarzhevsky & Mambetov 1981]. Its type is Chabaktiella shabaktiensis.

It was synonymized subjectively with Igorella by Parkhaev and Demidenko (2010) and Wagner (2023).

It was assigned to Coreospiridae by Missarzhevsky (1981), Missarzhevsky and Mambetov (1981), Missarzhevsky (1989) and Parkhaev (2002); and to Mollusca by Sepkoski (2002).
Dianella was named by Wang (1994) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Tomm]. It is not extant.

P. Y. Parkhaev and Y. Demidenko 2010	"Shell cap-shaped, high, considerably compressed laterally. Apex inclined and displaced posteriorly, significantly projecting over posterior apertural margin. Anterior field convex, posterior field concave and relatively long. Aperture oval or elliptical, simple, without sinuses or flaring. Ornamentation represented by concentric folds or ribs developed to different extent, rarely radial ribs or striation can be present."
