Coloniacirrus bifida

Taxonomy
Pleurotomaria bifida was named by Sandberger and Sandberger (1853) [Pleurotomaria bifida Sandberger & Sandberger 1853]. It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Grund, northwest of Hartz mountains, which is in a Famennian carbonate limestone in the Cürten Strata Formation of Germany.

It was recombined as Porcellia bifida by Whidborne (1892), Beyer (1896), Heidelberger (2001) and Krawczyński (2006); it was recombined as Coloniacirrus bifidus by Gischler et al. (2004); it was recombined as Coloniacirrus bifida by Wagner (2023).
