Taxonomy
Pleurotomaria cirrhosa was named by Lindström (1884). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Prosolarium cirrhosum by Perner (1907) and Northrop (1939); it was recombined as Prosolarium cirrhosa by Kurushin (1986); it was recombined as Euomphalopterus cirrhosa by Wagner (2023).
