Taxonomy
Pleurotomaria conoides was named by Meek and Worthen (1867). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Euconospira conoides by Karapunar and Nützel (2022); it was recombined as Spiroscala conoides by Knight (1945), Hoare et al. (1997), Kues and Batten (2001) and Wagner (2023).
