Taxonomy
Pleurotomaria dublinensis was named by Stauffer (1909). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zone D. North Bank below highway arch, Scioto River, Dublin, which is in an Eifelian carbonate limestone/chert in the Columbus Limestone Formation of Ohio.

It was recombined as Murchisonia dublinensis by Wagner (2023).
