Pleurotomaria meekana was named by Hall (1856). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Shansiella meekana by Raasch (1958); it was recombined as Glyptomaria (Dictyotomaria) meekana by Thein and Nitecki (1974); it was recombined as Dictyotomaria meekana by Wagner (2023).
