Pseudozygopleura funis

Pseudozygopleura (Pyrgozyga) funis was named by Knight (1930) [Pseudozygopleura (Pyrgozyga) funis Knight 1930]. Its type specimen is YPM 12988, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is SL-1. Headwaters of Feefee Creek, north of Olive St. & west of Lindberg Blvd., 1.5 km northwest of Stratmann (Olivette), which is in a Moscovian offshore shale in the Appanoose Formation of Missouri.
It was recombined as Pseudozygopleura (Pseudozygopleura) funis by Hoare and Sturgeon (1981); it was recombined as Pseudozygopleura funis by Wagner (2023).
