Taxonomy
Loxonema (Rhabdostropha) pseudofasciatum was named by Donald (1905) [Loxonema (Rhabdostropha) pseudofasciatum Donald 1905a]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Proetus concinnus-Warburgella stokesii Assemblage, Much Wenlock Limestone, which is in a Homerian marine grainstone/lime mudstone in the Much Wenlock Limestone Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Rhabdostropha pseudofasciatum by Longstaff (1909); it was recombined as Rhabdostropha pseudofasciata by Longstaff (1924); it was recombined as Loxonema pseudofasciatum by Peel (1977).
