Taxonomy
Rhachopea grandis was named by Ulrich et al. (1931) [Ulrich & Bridge in Ulrich, Foerste & Bridge 1931]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Dirhachopea grandis by Knight et al. (1960); it was recombined as Schizopea grandis by Wagner (1999) and Wagner (2023).
