Schizopea transitans
Taxonomy
Rhachopea transitans was named by Ulrich et al. (1931) [Ulrich & Bridge in Ulrich, Foerste & Bridge 1931]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ulrich Loc. 438-r. Hill in woods ½ miles west of Eminence, which is in a Trempealeauan carbonate dolomite in the Eminence Formation of Missouri.
It was recombined as Schizopea transitans by Wagner (1999) and Wagner (2023).
