Taxonomy
Straparollina remota was named by Billings (1872). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Red Limestone, Smith’s Sound, which is in a Branchian carbonate limestone in the Brigus Formation of Canada.
It was recombined as Aldanella remota by Landing (1988) and Wagner (2023).
