Taxonomy
Temnodiscus pusillus was named by Perner (1903) [Temnodiscus pusillus Barrande in Perner 1903]. It is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Peruniscus.

It was recombined as Tropidodiscus (Peruniscus) pusillus by Horný (1962); it was recombined as Tropidodiscus pusillus by Horný (1997) and Horný (1997); it was recombined as Peruniscus pusillus by Horný (1963) and Wagner (2023).
