Trochus lundgreni was named by Lindström (1884). It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Raphistomina lundgreni by Ulrich and Scofield (1897); it was recombined as Streptotrochus lundgreni by Williams (1912); it was recombined as Hystricoceras lundgreni by Wagner (1999) and Wagner (2023).
