Discordichilus venalis
Taxonomy
Trochus venalis was named by Perner (1903) [Trochus? venalis Barrande in Perner 1903]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bubovice, which is in a Ludfordian carbonate limestone in the Kopanina Formation of the Czech Republic. It is the type species of Perneritrochus, Conotrochus.
It was recombined as Conotrochus venalis by Perner (1907); it was recombined as Perneritrochus venalis by Cossmann (1909); it was recombined as Streptotrochus venalis by Wagner (1999); it was recombined as Discordichilus venalis by Wagner (2023).
