Diagnosis
Reference | Diagnosis | |
---|---|---|
R. L. Batten 1995 | Shell relatively high-spired and gradate. Early whorls smooth and evenly inflated. Sutures sharp but shallow. Upper whorl surface ofadult shell concave with welldeveloped subsutural, noded, spiral cord. Prominent noded selenizone forms shoulder. Alveozone flat to slightly concave. Whorls embrace just below alveozone on base. Base flatly rounded. Collabral ornament composed of slightly reinforced growth lines except on upper whorl surface spiral cords where they are more strongly developed. | |
B. S. Kues et al. 2002 | The shell is moderately high spired and turreted, and the whorls embrace low on the outer whorl face of the preceding whorl. The upper whorl surface is flat to gently concave and bears fine spiral lirae and prosocline collabral lirae of about the same strength, which produce subsutural interference nodes where they cross. A nodose selenizone is situated along the outer margin of the upper whorl surface, at the whorl shoulder, and marks the whorl periphery. The lower whorl surface bears three or four widely spaced spiral cords and more closely spaced orthocline collabral lirae, with small interference nodes. Below the basal angulation, several widely spaced, relatively strong spiral lirae are crossed by gently sinuous growth lirae. The aperture and umbilical areas are not preserved on the available specimens. |
