Hormotoma polita

Taxonomy
Turritoma polita was named by Donald (1902). It is not extant. Its type locality is Shalloch Mill, Whitehouse Bay, Girvan, which is in a Cautleyan carbonate limestone in the Shalloch Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Catazone polita by Longstaff (1924); it was recombined as Hormotoma polita by Wagner (1999) and Wagner (2023).
