J. D. Longstaff 1933 | Shell elongated, turriculated, composed of about thirteen gradually increasing whorls. Whorls low, convex, very slightly adpressed at the suture, where there is a fine thread. The protoconch small, but little raised at the apex, and coiled like the rest of the whorls. Ornamentation consists of numerous narrow, slightly oblique ribs, running from suture to suture, not continuing on the base, where there are merely fine lines of growth. Base convex and not much produced. Aperture ovoid, inner lip reflected on the bodywhorl, columella slightly curved. |
