Baylea (Trepospira) inflata was named by Elias (1958) [Baylea [Trepospira] inflata Elias 1958]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Glabrocingulum (Glabrocingulum) inflata by Yochelson and Saunders (1967); it was recombined as Glabrocingulum inflatum by Wagner (2023).
