Pleurotomaria (Cyclonema) strigillata was named by Herrick (1888). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Pleurotomaria strigillata by Herrick (1888); it was recombined as Worthenia strigillata by Hyde (1953), Yochelson and Saunders (1967) and Wagner (2023).
