It was reranked as the unranked clade Korethrasteridae by Gale (2018).

It was assigned to Eugnathina by Spencer and Wright (1966); to Velatida by Gale (2011) and Gale (2018); and to Velatida by Perrier (1893), Blake (1989), Mah and Blake (2012) and Gale (2022).
