Taxonomy
Ctenodiscidae was named by Sladen (1889) [Initially described as "Ctenodiscinae" a subfamily of the Porcellanasteridae, and errected as a family by Blake (1987)]. It is extant. It was considered monophyletic by Mah and Blake (2012).
It was assigned to Cribellina by Fisher (1911); and to Paxillosida by Blake (1989) and Mah and Blake (2012).
