Taxonomy
Ophiomusium longecombense was named by Hess (1965). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Museum Basel, M 6838. Its type locality is Echinoderms, Renggeri-Ton, Longecombe, Ain, which is in an Oxfordian offshore claystone in the Renggeri-Ton Formation of France.
