Ophiura hendleri
Taxonomy
Ophiura hendleri was named by Blake and Aronson (1998). Its type specimen is USNM 490436 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is W 86-03, Seymour Island, which is in a Lutetian lagoonal sandstone in the La Meseta Formation of Antarctica.

Oral shields longer than wide; jaw plates proeminent, weackly flaired; oral papillae truncate. |
