Myonia elongata
Taxonomy
Myonia elongata was named by Dana (1847). Its type specimen is USNM 3584 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Black Head, Gerringong (USNM coll), which is in a Wordian marine sandstone in the Gerringong Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Maeonia elongata by Dana (1849) and Laseron (1910).
