Lucina trisulcata was named by Conrad (1841) [DISTRIBUTION: Florida-Mexico.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Phacoides (Cavilucina) trisulcatus by Dall (1901) and Dall (1903); it was recombined as Phacoides (Here) trisulcata by Glenn (1904); it was recombined as Phacoides (Here) trisulcatus by Olsson (1922); it was recombined as Phacoides (Cardiolucina) trisulcatus by Mansfield (1932) and Gardner (1943); it was recombined as Phacoides trisulcata by Richards (1947); it was recombined as Cavilinga trisulcata by Ward and Blackwelder (1987).
