Amanzia greppini
Taxonomy
Ornithopsis greppini was named by Huene (1922). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Basse Montagne Quarry, Moutier, which is in a Kimmeridgian lacustrine - small marl in the Reuchenette Formation of Switzerland.
It was recombined as Cetiosauriscus greppini by Kuhn (1939), Charig (1980), McIntosh (1990), Meyer (1990), Meyer and Thüring (2003), Marty and Billon-Bruyat (2009), Marty et al. (2018) and Holwerda et al. (2019); it was recombined as Cetiosaurus greppini by Steel (1970); it was considered a nomen dubium by Upchurch et al. (2004), Schwarz et al. (2007), Marty et al. (2010) and Mannion et al. (2012); it was recombined as Amanzia greppini by Schwarz et al. (2020).
