Cloudia was named by Knight (1947) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Trep]. It is not extant. Its type is Cloudia buttsi.
It was assigned to Sinuitidae by Runnegar and Jell (1976); to Bellerophontida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Cyrtolitidae by Knight et al. (1960) and Wagner (2023).
