Texasophis wilsoni
Taxonomy
Texasophis wilsoni was named by Holman (1984). Its type specimen is Fort Hays State College Vertebrate Paleontology 3640, a set of vertebrae (trunk vertebra), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is WaKeeny (UM-K6-59), which is in a Clarendonian channel sandstone/claystone in the Ogallala Formation of Kansas.
