Ischyrinia plicata was named by Billings (1866). It is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Technophorus plicata by Twenhofel (1928); it was recombined as Technophorus plicatus by Pojeta and Runnegar (1976); it was recombined as Myocaris plicata by Wagner (2023).
